Sarah Margo

Principal Lawyer


Sarah has been working in animal law for more than a decade and is passionate about extending protections for all animals through legal practice and law reform.

Alongside her work as a Principal Lawyer with the Animal Law Institute, Sarah also teaches Animal Law at the University of New South Wales and is a Policy Advisor at NSW Parliament with the Animal Justice Party.

Sarah has previously served as Legal Counsel for Voiceless, the Animal Protection Institute, and as Co-Secretary for the NSW Young Lawyers Animal Law Committee.

She has also worked on a number of law and policy reform projects as an animal law consultant and served as the first paid community animal lawyer in NSW with the Animal Defenders Office.
